JAPANESE GOVERNMENT MEXT UNDERGRAD SCHOLARSHIPS FOR PAKISTAN

  

Host Country: Japan

University: Various universities in Japan

Study Level: Undergraduate

Available Study Programs: All fields of study: Engineering, Medicine, Social Sciences, Humanities, and many more.

Scholarship Coverage: -

· Allowance: 117,000 yen per month. A supplemental regional allowance of 2,000 yen or 3,000 yen per month will be added to the monthly scholarship amount for the grantees studying or conducting research in specially designated regions.

· Education fees: Fees for the entrance examination, matriculation, and tuition at universities will be paid by MEXT. 

· Round trip airfare

· Overseas health cover

Opening Date: Typically January—May every year

Eligibility Criteria: -

Nationality: Pakistani

Age: Applicants, in principle, must be born on or after April 2, 1999.

Educational Background: Applicants who have completed 12 years of schooling in countries other than Japan. If results are awaited, please provide a Hope Certificate.

Other specific requirements: Some universities or study programs may have additional eligibility criteria specific to their field of study or research area.

Required Documents:-

· Mark Sheet Form

· Application Form (1 original)

· Academic detail Mark sheet of Secondary and Higher Secondary School: (Matric/O Levels, Intermediate/A Levels) (1 with original attestation)

·  Applicants who are attending, or have graduated from, a higher secondary school: an academic transcript from the higher secondary school;

· Applicants who are attending, or have already graduated from, a university: academic transcripts from both the higher secondary school and the university.

· Attested copy of certificate of graduation of school/university attended (1 with original attestation)

·  Applicants who are attending a higher secondary school: a certificate of prospective graduation from the higher secondary school;

· Applicants who have already graduated from a higher secondary school: a certificate of graduation from the higher secondary school;

· Applicants who are attending a university: a certificate of graduation from the higher secondary school (in addition, they must submit a certificate of enrollment.);

· Applicants who have already graduated from a university: certificates of graduation from both the higher secondary school and the university.

· Recommendation Letter from either a class teacher or principal of last school attended (1 original)

· Attested copy of Certificate of enrollment from current educational institution (if applicable) (1 original)

· Hope certificate issued by the Institute (for students whose final result is expected by August 2023) (1 with original attestation)

Useful Tip***: Though applications are currently closed, this is strongly recommended to spend 3-4 months in preparing the required documents for the upcoming round of scholarships.
